Mission & Beliefs

At Barefoot and Wild Forest School, our mission is to reclaim childhood from the grip of screens and digital distractions by reconnecting children with the natural world. We believe that true growth, creativity, and resilience flourish through unstructured play, exploration, and hands-on learning in nature.

We exist to offer children the freedom to explore, imagine, and grow in a way that honors their individuality and natural development. Our outdoor learning environment encourages curiosity, confidence, and connection โ€” with the earth, with others, and with themselves.

We believe in the power of boredom and the beauty of slowing down. When children are given space away from constant stimulation, something magical happens: their creativity blossoms, their problem-solving skills sharpen, and they begin to grow into who they were uniquely designed to be.

At Barefoot and Wild, kids donโ€™t have to squeeze into boxes that were never made for them. Instead, they are invited to be wild, to be real, and to be fully themselves. Because childhood should be muddy, magical, and deeply rooted in the rhythms of the natural world.
